Do I need a Student Visa?

You will likely need a Student Visa if you are an international student (including EU/EEA/Swiss nationals) and your course is longer than 6 months.

  • You have been offered a place on a course
  • You can speak, read, write and understand English
  • You have enough money to support yourself and pay for your course

Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)

A CAS is a unique reference number that you need to apply for your Student Visa. LSB will issue your CAS once you have:

  1. Accepted your unconditional offer
  2. Paid your tuition fee deposit (usually £3,000)
  3. Provided proof of financial sponsorship (if applicable)
  4. Completed the Pre-CAS questionnaire
Do not apply for your visa until you have received your CAS number.
