Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about the admissions process, requirements, and student life.
Application Process
When is the application deadline?
For Undergraduate courses starting in September, the UCAS deadline is typically 15 January. However, we accept late applications until 30 June. Postgraduate applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, but we recommend applying by 31 July for September entry.
Is there an application fee?
There is no application fee for direct applications to LSB. If you apply via UCAS, there is a small fee charged by UCAS (£27.50 for 2025 entry).
Can I defer my offer?
Yes, we generally allow students to defer their offer for one academic year. You will need to contact the Admissions team to request this.
Entry Requirements
Do you accept mature students?
Absolutely. We value the experience mature students bring. If you don't meet the standard academic requirements but have relevant work experience, we encourage you to apply.
My English score is slightly below the requirement. Can I still apply?
You may be eligible for our Pre-Sessional English course. This 6-12 week program is designed to bring your English skills up to the required level before your main course begins.
Fees & Funding
When do I need to pay my tuition fees?
Self-funded students must pay at least 34% of their tuition fees at enrollment. The remaining balance can be paid in two further installments in January and April.
Are there scholarships for international students?
Yes, we offer the Global Leaders Scholarship among others. Please visit our Scholarships page for full details and eligibility criteria.
