Health & Safety

Ensuring a safe and secure campus environment.

The safety of our students, staff, and visitors is our top priority. LSB is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for work and study, in compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

1. Responsibilities

Health and safety is a collective responsibility. While the School's management is responsible for maintaining safe facilities and procedures, everyone on campus is expected to take reasonable care for their own safety and that of others. This includes following safety instructions and reporting hazards immediately.

2. Fire Safety

We conduct regular fire drills to ensure everyone knows how to evacuate the building safely. Fire exits and escape routes must be kept clear at all times. If you discover a fire, sound the alarm immediately and evacuate to the designated assembly point. Do not attempt to fight the fire yourself.

3. First Aid and Accidents

Qualified First Aiders are available on campus during opening hours. All accidents, incidents, and "near misses" must be reported to the Facilities Team, regardless of how minor they may seem. This helps us identify risks and prevent future accidents.

4. ID Cards and Security

To ensure campus security, all students and staff must wear their LSB ID cards visibly while on the premises. Visitors must sign in at Reception and be accompanied by a host. We operate 24/7 CCTV surveillance in public areas for the safety and security of our community.
